About her
Retired garden designer seeks soulmate to explore new worlds with! Actually it doesn't have to be new worlds - I'm pretty happy exploring anything from the countryside near my home to taking cultural or adventure holidays abroad. Last trip was to Italy which was amazing.
I retrained as a 'mature' student once the kids had flown the nest - going back to my art background roots but opting for garden design this time. I ran my own design business, providing everything from plans to plants, until retiring a few years ago. Currently I'm a volunteer gardener for the National Trust at two of their properties in Kent - it's good fun, I'm still learning things, and I meet lots of interesting people.
My other interests are pretty varied - from walking in town or country, to seeing art exhibitions and visiting galleries, theatre, cinema, and of course travelling - currently more of South America is on my wish list. In case you think I'm a keen rambler I must mention I'm more of an ambler - walks include many stops for gazing at views, taking photos and the usual coffee or pub stop! Currently I'm working my way through a book of 50 London walks - only 45 to go which could take a while!!
I'm not particularly sporty - unless you count Scrabble - but I do do yoga - you are not expected to participate in this (unless you want to)!
To relax I like meeting up with friends or family, a nice meal out at a pub, or an evening in - I'm not too high maintenance! I'm fairly independent but am missing someone to spend time and share special moments with. Could this be you?
