About her
...as I'm a chemistry teacher! I’m also a positive, friendly person. I’d like to meet someone who enjoys going out - whether for coffee, to a gallery (my favourite is the V&A), to a concert (I love the Wigmore Hall), for a meal (I’ll eat anything!) or a walk. My biggest recent achievement is finally picking up the piano again (a lockdown silver lining) and, when it's allowed, I sing in local choirs (who knew that would become a banned activity).
Right, I’m clearly underachieving on the ‘More about me section’ so here’s a bit more about me. Hope it doesn’t put you off too much. Any jokes have been shamelessly stolen from other profiles so apologies if you wrote it first.
Might as well say it - work's a big part of my life. I've been lucky to spend time in Japan and Ghana and since then I've worked in a bioethics think tank, in an international development agency and then in the NHS. That was great until Andrew Lansley started ‘reforming it’ (don’t get me started). So now I’m a teacher and, despite the dire predictions of my two children, really enjoying it.
Ah, yes, my children. 22 and 18, one at uni in Rotterdam (scraped in before Brexit made the fees unaffordable) and one playing jazz drums for a year (yes, it’s VERY loud) before uni. And relentlessly reminding me that it’s ‘time to get back out there mum’. So, here I am.
