In His Own Words
About him
Intelligent, questioning and a little unorthodox, I tend not to go with the flow and plough my own furrow. A great one for the outdoors, I have spent most of the last 30 years in the Lake District, but I am currently in North Yorkshire where my 92 year old Dad and other family are, having completed a boat building project in Plymouth.
As an ex Naval Officer, I have done a lot in my life but am now hankering after a more settled, simpler lifestyle with someone very special.
I will be divorced in 2022.
A good friend of mine (thanks, Em) told me that I should seek to find happiness in myself, rather than seeking it in someone else. I have been taking steps to realise that since the breakup of my marriage.
I am in good shape and am careful about what I eat. I hope you at least try to be the same! I am certainly in much better shape than most 60 year olds I know. So please be careful about setting arbitrary age limits.

I am ideally looking for someone intelligent, thoughtful, kind, witty and caring with a great sense of humour. Someone who can make me laugh, and forget all the nonsense that is going on in the world for a while. I enjoy being challenged and love having my leg pulled, as long as you expect to receive the same in return. I would hope that we could spark off each other so if you are quiet and submissive I don't think you are for me.
Country pubs, long walks, quiet nights in with lots of love and laughter, shared adventures. These are all things I am looking forward to with someone with whom I can feel at one.
