About him
I think my friends would describe me as caring, interesting and intelligent but a bit ‘different’ sometimes. A good sense of humour, I joke a lot: I like to see the funny side of life.
I love my dog, and we take long walks in the fields twice a day, every day (I say this because my friends ask what I do with my ‘free time’ (sic) now I’m retired … we average 40 miles a week).
I like being outside and I love the sea (but don’t sail!) but am equally happy at home, but I like to keep busy eg in the garden (but I don’t really know what I’m doing!). I like wildlife (but I’m crap at remembering birds names!) and have the tiniest wildlife pond that I created last year. Only caddis flies and snails so far!
I’m happy with my own company but not a loner: I’m comfortable in my skin! Having said that, I’m not a fitness fanatic by any means, but I work out 3 times a week with a personal trainer who says I’m ‘not bad for an old guy’ 😊 he’s such a smooth talker !
Update… not so new to the site now so I feel I should clarify
I am widowed… I need to be upfront about this because some people didn’t notice it in my profile. It doesn’t mean I have two heads but, yes, there is some emotional baggage.
I am retired even though I’m not at state retirement age .. so, no, I don’t work…
I am not actually in Woking, it’s just the nearest place from the options I was given. I’ll be more specific if the situation arises.
