About her
This is tricky: nobody likes tooting their own trumpet but here goes! I think my friends would say I'm independent, fun, hard working, compassionate and sociable.
I'm a nature lover with a passion for conservation so I enjoy being outdoors splashing about in the mud, but I like to make an effort for a special occasion - I'm a dress down girl who likes to dress up sometimes. I take care of my appearance but I'm not vain and I don't do social media or take much notice of what's in fashion.
I'm a loyal, supportive friend and I adore my family although they drive me up the wall at times!
I will have a go at most things and don't take myself too seriously - a good sense of humour makes life much more bearable.
I find politics depressing (don't we all!) and I can't bear intolerance, racism or opinionated people.
I'm not materialistic and appreciate what I have instead of wishing for more or better things. It's the simple pleasures in life that make me happy and it would be lovely to meet someone special to share them with.

I hope to meet someone who is kind, intelligent, funny and caring... perhaps with a mischievous twinkle in his eye. Someone sociable but who is happy in his own company too. I'm very active so a shared love of being outdoors is a must for walks, cycle rides etc - also a shared appreciation of good pubs!
Ideally this special man would live fairly close but distance isn't a barrier, within reason, to meeting the right person.
I'm not put off by the 'baggage' that most of us have acquired by this stage in our lives and hope that anyone I meet is as committed to his own family as I am to mine.
I work full time in a job I love and am not planning on retiring yet, so someone who has lots of free time and wants a partner to join him in retirement activities / travelling the world should hit 'next' straight away. My ideal partner probably has an equally busy life and doesn't want to lose his individuality but hopes there's someone out there with a similar outlook on life with whom he could happily grow old.
