Apologies for the cheesy profile pic. I'm rubbish at selfies & it's the only one they allowed me to use.🙃
Being the only (single) gay in the village, it's hard to find others in similar situation, so starting with a few new friends would be great!
I enjoy chatting over coffee/ lunch out anywhere or at home with friends putting the world to rights over a bottle of wine.
I'm interested in politics (US & UK), love to debate, & I try not to hold differences against anyone.
Do find myself prone to lobbing cushions at TV these days. (Esp PMQ'S!!)
I'm a life long animal lover, especially rescue dogs & cats & have had a number over the years. I have fostered but I'm not very good at it as they seem to end up staying!!
I love country walks & holidays with the current mad mutt, but also hoping to travel a bit more home & abroad when time & budget allow.
2 grown up children, both off my hands now ( theoretically!) so now time for me, but love spending time with them when we can.
Music is v important to me, not just Classics, but an eclectic mix of music from 60's - now . I love live shows last one was Genesis last year which was amazing.
Also love live theatre, musicals as well as more serious stuff, have missed the West End & other venues hugely.
Avid reader & similarly eclectic range of books on my shelves.
I scrub up quite well but am low maintenance, not into fashion but like a nice scarf!
I have what is called a "gallows humour", irreverent & sarcastic, which I blame on a long career on the NHS & other caring jobs. 😅
Enough blether, I find it difficult to do these "sell yourself " bits but hopefully this gives you an insight into how I tick but message me for a chat & we'll see what happens.
