About her
I am outgoing, warm, and friendly. I am organised and can make things happen. I like good conversation, concerts, art galleries, museums, NT, HPB holidays, literature, theatre, films, good food, gardening and gardens, knitting, and cooking for friends and family. I have adult daughters and grandchildren who all live locally to me, and are an important part of my life.
Trained as a secondary school teacher I branched out into adult education and training; I still have my own counselling practice which I have had for over 30 years.
I hope to go swimming more regularly and find a Pilates class.
I am passionate about social justice, and fighting for those who have no voice, or have SEN, or their exhausted carers. I read The Guardian.
My friends would describe me as courageous, tenacious, and someone who would listen to them and not pass judgement. They would say I get things done. I dislike dishonesty and value truthfulness.
About her ideal match
I would like to meet a man who shares some of my interests. He would be educated to at least a first degree level. He would be kind and thoughtful with a sense of humour.
We would always find lots to talk about and enjoy time out together. I would like him to enjoy going to the theatre, reading literature, listening to music, and going to the places I mention in my write up. Eating good food at home or out would be pleasurable for both of us.
A deal breaker for me would be someone who still thinks Boris Johnson/UKIP/Brexit/Liz Truss/Kemi Badenoch are OK.
