I am warm and open-hearted and love getting to know people, so I’m a great listener, and am still keen to make a difference in the world, in my own, small way.
I have an enquiring mind, adventurous spirit and enjoy travelling and exploring different cultures, but I also like quiet times to reflect and normally start the day with time for meditation.
Nature is my cathedral, so I love dramatic landscapes or being in nature, whether it's wandering through a forest or beautiful gardens, walking along the cliffs, watching the sunset, or maybe swimming with dolphins if the opportunity arises!
Pottering in my garden,whether weeding, pruning or planting, while listening to the birds, is another pleasure.
My music taste is very eclectic...within a space of a few months I went to a concert celebrating the music of Cat Stevens, Bob Marley’s ‘Get Up, Stand Up’, and now looking forward to a concert with Andrea Bocelli. I love Opera, especially Puccini. Perhaps we will have some similar tastes... If not, I am happy to explore your choice of music.
I play tennis a few times a week, and love the light-hearted interaction. I also go to a Tai Chi class once a week, and would like to become more disciplined about practicing at home!
I enjoy healthy food, with plenty of fresh vegetables, preferably from the local farm shop, but I am not a brilliant cook myself...so if you enjoy cooking, I would be happy to be your sous chef!
I have three wonderful boys, all married, and spending time with family is important to me, especially doing fun things with my grandchildren!
Two places I am looking forward to exploring are Greece and the Scottish Islands. But travelling is so much more fun with a partner.
