About her
My username - Seaspirit - expresses my feeling of being spiritually at home near the sea, walking beaches and coast paths. I have gradually worked my way westwards from London via Bristol to North Devon where I enjoy rural life tho still enjoy a citybreak (here or in Europe) where I can enjoy the arts etc. I'm a fan of bel canto opera and there is always a cd in my car; ive opera at La Scala or La Fenice is still on my wish list! My professional life was in education and counselling. In outlook I am still a bit of a '60s challenger of convention and an '80s feminist which can mean I often feel compatible with people younger than myself (or my own generation if you share these perspectives). I'm happy in my current location but often feel that this may not be my final destination ...
I've lived both independently and in partnerships, and am compatible with people who have similar experience. I enjoy conversations that are reflective and exploratory whether out on a walk or having an old- fashioned phone conversation (I would prefer to get to know you that way after Initial contact).. I'm drawn to the wilder parts of these islands and would be willing to relocate within that specification. I like to be involved in community projects, here I am involved in a local food-growing project. the local maritime museum and fundraising for our lifeboat station. I keep up with cinema and live-stream opera performances and summer brings open air theatre.
Not a camper but would be happy campervanning and with modest accommodation especially if unusual (eg converted railway carriage, narrowboat). I'm not a great sea traveller and the only place I would cruise would be the Norwegian fjords, but if that is your preferred mode of transport I will be happy to meet you on the other side ....

I don't really think in terms of an 'ideal' match except in so far as they are someone I feel comfortable to be around and have a strong rapport with. Someone who can be flexible and understand that negotiation is part of a relationship ...

I guess dealbreakers would be right-wing politics and material snobbishness. My house is kept functionally tidy - I need to be able to put my hand on things quickly when I need them - but I will not suit you if you are compulsively houseproud.
