About her
My username - Seaspirit - expresses my feeling of bring spiritually at home close to the sea, walking beaches and coast paths. I have gradually worked my way westwards from London via Bristol to west Cornwall and have now looped back up to North Devon . I'm now content with rural life tho still enjoy a citybreak (here or in Europe) where I can enjoy the arts etc. I'm a fan of bel canto opera and there is always a cd in my car. Live opera at La Scala or La Fenice is still on my wish list!
I've lived both independently and in partnerships, and am compatible with people who have similar experience (my last partner and I lived in separate houses 20 minutes walk apart). I'm comfortable with thoughtful reflective people and would love someone to walk and talk with... I'm drawn to the wilder parts of these islands and while feeling settled in the west country could envisage being swept off to somewhere with similar assets by the right person. I need a sense of community and like to be involved in community projects, here I am involved in a local food-growing project. the maritime museum and fundraising for our lifeboat station. I keep up with cinema and live-stream opera performances and summer brings open air theatre.
Reaching another birthday made me reflect on what I would like the next year to bring: some new explorations in congenial company and maybe someone with that enhanced sense of connection to spend time getting to know .... discovering some interesting new places (and maybe revisiting old ones), not a camper but would be happy campervanning and with modest accommodation especially if unusual (eg converted railway carriage, narrowboat). I'm not a great sea traveller and the only place I would cruise would be the Norwegian fjords, but if that is your preferred mode of transport I will be happy to meet you on the other side ....

I don't really think in terms of an 'ideal' match except in so far as they are someone I feel comfortable to be around and have a strong rapport with

I guess dealbreakers would be right-wing politics and material snobbishness. My house is kept functionally tidy - I need to be able to put my hand on things quickly when I need them - but I will not suit you if you are compulsively houseproud.
I don't play golf and you would have to work hard to persuade me to see it as a fun way of spending time!
