About him
I'm quiet on the outside and reserved at first, but funny, charming and caring when all's said and done. I love reading, classic cars, the outdoor life including walking and gardening. I would say I have a relaxed and easy-going nature.
I own a 1969 Pontiac Firebird; this is the second classic car I've owned. My interest in it has diminished over the past twelve months for several reasons, not least because I have bought my first house! I love my new home, and my current focus is very much on making it mine and implementing numerous necessary renovations. It would be fantastic if there was someone out there who would like to come along for the ride.
In terms of music, I listen to Classic FM on the drive into work. I find it very relaxing! I wasn't brought up with classical music, and it was all very new to me when I first discovered Classic FM six or seven years ago. Since then, my knowledge and appreciation for it has increased substantially. My favourite piece is the radetzky march by Strauss, and I would say Grieg is my favourite composer.
Aside from classical, Bruce Springsteen is, in my opinion, the greatest singer-songwriter since the second world war. I'm more than happy to debate this with anyone 😂 I think some of his performances with the E Street Band are sensational!
I really enjoy long walks in the countryside. If it's a lovely warm, sunny day in the summertime, that's fantastic. If it's raining and a bit grim in winter - let's get the wellies and waterproofs on and get out there! You can even laugh at me when I slip over in the mud 😂🙈
I really enjoy a good book as well. Thomas Hardy and Ernest Hemingway are two of mt favourite authors. I wish I had more time for reading.
