Try to keep active-ish. Like swimming (pre-work). Tennis in the sunshine. Yoga. Go hiking, and am a Camino veteran. Fond of the odd celidh (London Celidh Club, anyone?)
Not mad about winter, happier between Spring and Autumn. Love listening to people's stories.
Believer in the 15 minute city. Urban but attracted to empty beaches in North Northumberland. Wandered around the gardens at Ham House recently and spent time staring at espaliered fruit trees. Like simplicity.
Went to Madrid and San Sebastian last year. The former was art galleries and an Almodovar exhibition. The latter was a film festival. Absolutely no sun loungers but a lot of Basque cheesecake (not a euphemism). Just come back from Malaga (another film festival). Saw an Argentinian film about solitude ("Lo que quisimos ser"). Rather a high proportion of European films seem to be on later-life relationships and loneliness. But that may be my subjective take, and explain this initiative (!)
Now accept there are things outside my skill set and no longer feel guilty about them, just outsource them.
Very keen on trains. Ought to use Eurostar more. Would love to get that sleeper from Brussels to Venice. And launch it with a glass at the St Pancras champagne bar.

Someone who could both think, and do, would be a good start. Someone who interests me. I am endlessly curious and love to learn.

If relevant, I split my time between the North East and London. Someone who lived in London but liked the North East/Scotland would be great, or the other way round. Probably rules out the West Coast :-)
