About him
I am a sort of 2 career chap, but still learning, about life, the universe and everything (an old joke). I am receptive to dialogue and the views of others and (good/smart) ideas and candour and honest warmth; and fun !!
I read and listen to music (and did play). I walk and sail. I need to play tennis again; and I talk (too much). I'm from a large family, which might explain. Happy to be interrogated. Probably the best sous chef one could ever need! (so said one of my sons, once ! He is a v good chef). [ but not my job !], If you also like creating good food I'm your man ! You don't have to to wish to sail, but my v small yacht lacks crew; but I don't hog the tiller. In fact, I enjoy faffing with the sails, so others can drive (as one of my twins does). My best investment ever was to buy NT life membership (for me plus guest) some years ago, when I was a teacher. I'm also keen on John Irving's books. A truly masterful writer. Do read A Widow for One Year. I do listen. I do think. Sorry to wax so lyrical. I thought my narrative was a tad sparse ! Oh I forgot - I am making a Veg garden at the bottom of my garden - v slowly !
About his ideal match
I would hope to meet an honest and candid and brave woman, but who has warmth in her heart too. I am open minded to try any leisure activities. Attending concerts alone is not so appealing
A recent thought. I respond to those who contact me, politely. I did hope others would do the same. Courtesy is important too. Some do not reply to an opening message, which is melancholy. One understands that person A might not be minded to have dialogue with person B; but ones 'ideal match' might also have kindness and courtesy in her heart; even if I don't appeal. What think you ? Nil desperandum - perhaps !!
