The friends would generally describe me as quiet and attentive; I've a fondness for listening more than talking, as that's when you learn things, and I've found that a dash of curiosity in life means there's an awful lot of very interesting things to be learned and discovered.. Of course, it's great fun to discuss these interesting things in small groups (who doesn't like a dinner party! It's why I learned to cook properly many, many moons ago) late into the night..
Currently, the hobbies tend to be feeding garden birds, and trying to work out ways of making life easier for them to improve their survival rates.. It's always a delight to see spring bring the previous years' families back into the garden parading their young proudly round the feeders.. Which feeds into an enjoyment of very amateur photography..
I'm never anywhere without a book either, which covers a lot of my relax time..
And slowly building back up after the COVID years with the aim of getting back in the water and going diving again (I used to thoroughly enjoy Scuba, so a quick dip now and then would be a delight!).
I see life as a curious thing, and these days as an experiment. The aim isn't always to "win" something, it's to learn more. If you try something and it didn't work out how you hoped, you've learned something. That'll help the decisions for the next attempts, or following the next path into the future..
