About her
My personality is generally an optimistic one and I think my family and friends would say that I am a kind and thoughtful person. I enjoy being spontaneous and am enthusiastic about life in general. I love to laugh and have fun. Having said that I am also someone who needs and enjoys regular time alone to recharge and reflect. Friends tell me I am also a good listener and I do enjoy getting to know people and supporting them at times when they are in difficulty. I will chat happily on most subjects and am always curious to learn more.
Since childhood I have always been very active and walk every day with my 2 dogs. Recently I gave up horse riding as my pony was retired so I decided to retire myself too - much to the relief of my family I think! I am lucky to live somewhere very beautiful but also enjoy travelling and exploring new places.
Apart from outside activities I do my best to keep fit and practise yoga very regularly as it keeps me flexible and helps with the inevitable aches and pains. I also find it very calming and relaxing.
I love any opportunity to enjoy culture whether that’s the theatre, ballet, opera, music concerts or films. I read regularly and love chatting about books and cultural experiences. I am not politically active but am interested in current events and have liberal leanings.
About her ideal match
I am hoping to find someone who might share some or most of my interests. Ideally he would have a positive outlook on life with a curious and tolerant attitude. A sense of humour is necessary as I feel it is essential when coping with getting older. A love of animals would be good too as I have 2 small very friendly dogs.
Someone who enjoys the different aspects of culture would be ideal for me as I really miss the shared experience of going out and about with a partner.
I am a long standing vegetarian and would welcome someone who was like-minded but am not in any way intolerant of people who eat meat. I am more interested in a positive attitude to healthy eating.
As to sharing activities I am open to being introduced to new activities .
