About him
Friends would probably describe me as a romantic, eccentric, mischievous, adventurous, idealist who sees the best in everyone and in most every situation.
I love good quality food and although I'm not a pub person, I often like one glass of wine or beer with dinner. I sometimes put Baileys on my Porridge and Cointreau on fruit salad and on the odd occasion, even Rum in my Cocoa (called a Lumumba) as a nightcap.
I'm afraid of water, heights and women's anger but I've sailed the Atlantic and a few more seas; parachuted, rock climbed and have a NZ Private Pilots Licence and I've been married three times. First time, we were both too young but had a lovely boy (now an adult with a daughter) together, and we've remained good friends. Second time, 31 years later, seemed like a good idea at the time, lasted almost 2 years! Third, on receipt of a cancer diagnosis, to save my Carer the Inheritance Tax. My wake, which was scheduled for 7 March 2022, has had to be postponed and I've been 'living the dream' ever since.
As regards hobbies, interests and fun, I love classic cars, bee keeping and good conversation. I meditate every morning; I play basic level chess on my cellphone and, I fall asleep at night thanking God, my angels, guides and parents for my incredible good fortune (health, wealth and happiness), which I also do regularly when walking, driving or seeing God reflected in Nature or in any person or animal.
My outlook on life is that this a wonderful play, designed by The Creator for Her and Our enjoyment and that, when my role is over, I'll return to The Audience to join in the fun of watching this Play we call life, trying to prompt the remaining Actors, especially those who take their parts too seriously.
About his ideal match
My ideal companion would be a fine lady who has a positive outlook on life, is caring, supportive and most of all, tolerant of my eccentricities. Someone not fixed in her views and not negative, loud or aggressive.
Compatibility in everything isn't essential but if we could share some common interests that would be great. A deal breaker would be smoking, negativity and a lack of any kind of spiritual open-mindedness, interest or endeavour but I love Atheists, who usually ask all the right questions.
I would love to share walks and talks but if I could be encouraged to learn to cook (more than just vegetarian curry, my signature dish); learn to swim with confidence, exercise more, play chess and create an island getaway together, that would be delightful.
