About her
I am a young 75 year old widow recently moved to the Georgian town of Holt, and I am looking for someone to share the next chapter of my life. I like to walk, I have walked The Great Glen 3 times, The Peddars Way 6 times and in 2018 I walked the Camino. I love music, poetry, art, travel, and a host of other things. I usually live alone but for the last three months have opened my house to a Ukrainian family fleeing the war. I love France and have a small vineyard there. Here in Norfolk I have a farm both arable and sheep. The countryside is in my blood, I’m definitely not a city person, although I lived in Cambridge during university term time (my late husband taught there). I have a strong sense of right and wrong. I think I have a good sense of humour. I’m a sensitive soul, I hate injustice and cruelty in any form. I volunteer at the local hospice, but at the moment I am taking a sabbatical. I’m a trained cook and wish I had someone to cook for. I read, mainly books, rarely newspapers or magazines. I forgive easily. I have few friends, but the ones I have are lifetime friends. I like my own company and I don’t suffer fools gladly. I really enjoy the company of intelligent, interesting people. I am well travelled and there are few countries that I haven’t visited. Sincerity, honesty, kindness and reliability are what I would hope to find in people.
