About her
Hey, I'm Ali. I'm a hypnotherapist, actor and teacher living in North London. I've got one wonderful daughter who is about to head off to uni, so I thought it was probably time to get back on the dating horse. Pray that it doesn't bolt or chuck me off! Experiences of online dating in the past not brilliant...but it has provided some fun anecdotes! And this CAN work, I'm assured...so, here goes:
I'm quite open and not too specific about what/ who I'm looking for, but I am definitely up for finding something real, supportive and honest - a life partner, I guess. I know, of course, that there's never a guarantee of anything, but I reckon sharing these values at the outset is a good start.
Saying that, I genuinely really am happy in my own company, which is partly why it's not been a priority for me. But it would be nice to meet somebody lovely to share love and life's pleasures.
I'm a pretty chilled soul nowadays. Out with hedonism and in with TM and plants. Not that I don't enjoy the odd boozy evening, but I'm more likely to be found at the theatre or reading. Clarity has replaced clubbing.
I love theatre, singing, music, meditation, writing, nature, seeing new places. I'm quite a sociable person, but enjoy my own space and lots of 'downtime' to recharge.
I suppose my friends would describe me as creative, fun, kind and dependable. But who knows, I haven't asked them...

Hope this doesn't sound too shallow, but educated works for me...in that there's genuine curiosity about life. And someone who can give me a run for my money in getting questions right on Universally Challenged ( if you get the science ones, I'll nail the arts and we've got it covered)
Kindness and care for others, on a personal and wider level, is very important, but that should go without saying. Honesty, integrity and a good sense of humour are key for me. Daft dad jokes and bad puns welcome.
It's only natural perhaps that you've got a few battle scars-we've all lived and loved a bit. But an open heart works for me. Aside from that? Surprise me. Oh, only single please. Don't surprise me by already having a partner. Much more common than you might think. Young ( at heart), free ( at least relatively inexpensive) and single!
