About him
Young at heart, former Technical Teacher/Chartered Engineer with a love of life. A third of my working life has spent abroad in some interesting places, such as; Cambodia, Darfur, Dubai, Kabul, Kuwait. Very much a glass half full person, now settled on beautiful and considerably less dangerous Isle of Man. I don’t have any kids, the baggage of my divorce was left a long time ago, on a distant airport carousel, just hope no one else stole it? I do like cats, especially Manx ones and French Bulldogs although at the moment I do not have any pets not even a gold fish! Varied interests include; water colouring, gardening. DIY, fixing things, running an allotment and keeping a 22 year old Freelander running in good condition! Loyal, trustworthy with a zest for life. Hobbies also include anything to do with the Art Deco period, museums, art galleries, secondhand book shops and pubs with real beer and proper fires!

Someone from a similar professional background with interests in anything and everything, especially arts & crafts who likes to travel especially by train. I suppose someone with interests in 4x4 and canal boats is too much to ask for but hey ho? that leads me on to a good sense of humour is more important! Someone who can appreciate from a spiritual point of view, many things are greater than the sum of the parts. And less is often more!
