About her
I'm a vegan and respect all life forms.
I love cats but don't have one now.
I feed several flocks of wild pigeons and gulls every day. This is my main purpose and 'vocation' - to help the birds nobody loves.
I love trees and flowers and enjoy gardening.
I love piano music and Opera.
I passed diplomas in piano and in singing in my thirties and want to start again. I taught piano to beginners for a few years.
I have two degrees: MA (Ord) in French, German, English, Moral Philosophy and Psychology, and BD (2:1) in Theology, Philosophy of Religion and Ethics.
Spirituality (pantheist) is central in my life and outlook and I believe in prayer and an afterlife. I don't attend church now. I was an Episcopalian, explored Buddhism, like Unitarianism.
I walk a lot.
I don't like cooking.
I am trying to have a low carbon footprint and don't drive. I have planted a few trees
I don't believe in horse riding or racing horses, dogs or pigeons, and abhor blood sports.
About her ideal match
I would like a (graduate in anything) friend to share my musical interests with. (I only like Classical music, especially piano, singing, opera, violin.) Someone erudite would be amazing but not essential.
I would like a vegan friend and maybe an animal lover, with a cat or dog family.
I would like a gardening companion and someone to teach me about trees and plants.
I'd be happier if my friend did not own a petrol car. Ideally he might have an electric push bike, or if he is disabled, an electric wheelchair or mobility scooter.
I would like someone quiet, and kind.
I would be happy to be friends with a blind, or autistic, man. I understand depression and anxiety and would welcome someone who would understand my occasional bad days and support me a bit, and let me care for him too.
I don't enjoy noisy restaurants or bars.
I'd love to go to classical concerts and operas with someone who also loves that repertoire. There are not many on so we could save up for tickets!
I am in awe of writers and poets. I scribble a journal.
I don't mind if my friend is poor and struggling on state pension, like me.
I've never owned a house and prefer simplicity of life.
