About him
Most of the time I think and feel like I'm still 30. I have a healthy zest for life and doing things. I'm humorous, extrovert, sociable, confident and still driven to achieve personal and career goals. I would like to share the doing and achieving with somebody like-minded. Life is for living, not just existing. My friends would probably describe me as fun, emotionally connected, creative, artistic, conscientious, hard working, reliable, considerate and caring. I follow a variety of sports; motorsport, cricket, and rugby union. I like to get to Headingly when I can and if the sun's shining and the cricket's good, that's a day well spent. Love food and cooking. Not so much fun as a single, much prefer cooking for others. Music is a part of my everyday life. Whilst I'll listen to classical at least once a day, I like multiple genres including opera, jazz, folk, classic rock and prog rock. I'll listen to anything. Last gig I went to; Voodoo Room. A trio of top session musicians playing Hendrix, Clapton, and Cream. My biggest passion is cars and Motorsport. Started very young as you can see in the pic with me tampering with my dad's Lagonda. Great fashion sense don't you think? I share this activity with my son Jon. We have a seriously modified MG TF which we'll be entering in the MG Cup next year. That's me driving for what its worth. Foreign travel is something I don't do enough of. Most of my profile pics where taken on this year's touring holiday which took in France, Italy, Austria and Germany. Explains the number of pics involving alcohol! Driving on the continent is blissful and the best way to explore. On a less grand scale, I like socialising, good conversation, nice pubs and cafes, walking, days out in the countryside, museums, and not just car museums! Nothing wrong with staying in to watch a good film or TV series.
About his ideal match
Someone, who like me, has a younger outlook on life, looks after themselves and their appearance but who's happy in jeans, trainers and T shirt. A sense of humour and a desire to have fun, and wanting to be active is a must. An appreciation of food and wine would be good as would an eclectic taste in music. You don't need to be a petrol head, as long as you're not averse to cars. A love of sport would help and it doesn't matter what sport. Someone who enjoys socialising, being in company, engaging in intelligent and non-intelligent conversation, having a laugh, 'letting your hair down', having a few beers now and again, acting daft once in a while, happy to throw some shapes on the dance floor. Beyond that, loving, affectionate, and caring would be nice.
Smokers, drug users and religious or political fanatics would be a no no.

Mike is the perfect person to go for a coffee with. He's also an excellent companion for an afternoon in the pub, a cheese & beer/wine tasting or 8 hours in A&E. A self confessed foodie, he likes good food and he knows how to make it.
He likes to do things well, be that working on a car or making his famous lamb stew. He's active, intelligent and very considerate. He knows a lot about a lot of things and the conversation will never falter.
