About him
Many years ago a friend said "Life with you would never be boring". I am interested in (almost) everything, have done many things and like to consider life as one long adventure, intellectual, emotional and physical.
I am by training an engineer, so I like to create things, but my hobbies also include philosophy, music, and to some degree art.
About his ideal match
If you are looking for a cosy suburban ordinary relationship with a nice guy, it probably ain't me. My sister considers me mad. She is probably correct. But I am, when all is said and done, pretty harmless. My usual response to conflict is to walk away, which is part of why I am now divorced.
I have a nice house with a big garden in a very quiet place. Sometimes I cut the grass and weed the flower beds. Or decorate the rooms. I like pets and other animals, but I don't currently have any.
If you hold strong views on topical Left leaning issues, please don't bother. Engineers deal with the world as it seems to be, not as people imagine it to be, or think it ought to be, and when I was asked "where I thought windmills ought to be put, then?" my answer was 'in a museum'. I am an (electrical) engineer. I have done the calculations.
But I am not entirely earthbound. I have studied metaphysics and religion dispassionately, and respect anyone who understands that their world-view is not the only one there is, nor yet the correct one above all others.
I am a child of the sixties, where sex drugs and rock and roll were what there was, and I didn't miss out. But life moves on as well.
