Retired, easy-going guy, no kids. In no particular order, the things I love are: the arts, especially classical music and opera; travel; walking; eating out; cooking in; gardening; sporting events; good conversation.
Married for 30 years until widowed in mid-2021. Now back to square one and wondering if there's a like-minded, life-loving individual out there to team up with. In no great hurry to remarry, but would definitely consider it with the right lady. Don't have children, but that doesn’t mean I don’t like other people’s.
Am fit and healthy - touch wood. Enjoy travelling (who doesn't?), especially if it involves taking in a musical event or other arty stuff, but just as happy lazing by a pool with a good book in the sun. Keen to explore the parts of the planet I’ve never visited as well as returning to favourite spots. My last two holidays were walking in Majorca and Italy.
Can hold my own in the kitchen and most people I’ve cooked for over the years have gone on to lead perfectly healthy lives. Better still though, I love eating out and recreating dishes at home that I've enjoyed abroad. Sadly, none of them ever taste as good..
Just so you know, I also like watching sport and am a passionate fan of Liverpool Football Club. I love attending top sporting events and nothing beats a day at Wimbledon, Twickenham or Lords.
Have lived in Hampshire, UK, for seventeen years, but will travel to meet the right person and I have no long-term attachment to the area. If my next relationship takes us on a journey that leads to us sharing a home a long way from here, that’s fine by me. It will be worth it.
