About him
Sometimes nuggets of gold are hidden in complicated situations. It takes a little panning in clear water to find them. What are you? A sliver of silver, a platter of platinum, or an ingot of gold perhaps?
As for me I'm an all rounder ~ the geeky scientific kind who's also arty (but not-too-farty) with a whacky sense of humour, aka Monty Python & British TV humour from the 70s & 80s.
I studied sciences & computing at St John's, Durham & have worked in computer technical support. Retired now I consider myself a writer who enjoys copy editing & proof reading, with a semi-professional interest in counselling & psychology.
Brought up on classical music I now have very eclectic musical tastes. There’s almost always music of some kind playing in my house. Re visual entertainment I enjoy documentaries & movies, apart from horror & gratuitous violence. For current affairs I go online, selectively avoiding news channels tainted by the Loony Left & the Whacky Wokers.
For non-sporting hobbies I enjoy photography (have an eye for a good picture), playing acoustic guitar, viewing fine art & high-class photography, playing tiddlywinks etc. I'm sapiosexual & very open about all thing sexual (my dad was a urologist, lol) so I enjoy artistic nudes, life drawing & occasional modelling, and infrequent dives into naturism. When the weather's hot I do prefer to go au naturelle. So if you're not put off by such things ~ "Let's get together and we'll be alright!" (thanks Bob).
Semi-retired, I'm an aspiring writer with a strong interest in various therapies, including massage (have worked professionally), sex therapy (the need for which is endemic), and animal assisted therapy. To that end I have an unusually large number of wonderful cats who I love dearly 😻 (meeeooow!) Does anybody want a kitten or three?
I've travelled in more than 30 countries & lived abroad a good deal, including India as a child where my parents ran a hospital. I’m currently in the French Champagne region but need to move elsewhere due to visa issues.

I’m hoping to meet an intelligent & caring animal lover who, like me, prefers to live in a warm bright climate. I moved away from the UK because of the lack of light in winter which triggers Seasonal Affective Disorder. However, I could be tempted back by the right feline loving, open minded, emotionally intelligent, wannabe-biker-chick(?)
Sports wise I love motorcycling, cycling & all kinds of water sports, both in & on the wet stuff. Unfortunately none of that's really possible in Northern European winters. Hence my dream to go sunny 🌞 When finances allow I dream of owning a canal barge, or yacht for lazy summer holidays, and hope to buy a camper van for longer road treks.
To sum up then, I'm a two-wheeled water-sports man outdoors ... & indoors I love to get arty (but not unduly farty) with a woman who’s warm hearted & well rounded emotionally speaking, and preferably physically also. Could that be you?
