About him
Now starting a brand-new chapter. Having just retired as an educator and union negotiator, I’m spending my time writing music, volunteering, developing a podcast, singing in a chorus, and exploring new ways to get into trouble.
I care about enjoying life, especially the little things, while also wanting to help make the world more livable. I love to travel, locally and afar, attend concerts and museums, try new restaurants, walk neighborhoods, swim, and support political candidates.
So what do I have to offer? A pair of shoulders that are the very definition of 'being there for you"... a loyalty that is unshakeable...character in the guise of being a character ... a deep commitment to family, both inherited and acquired...and an outlook on life that is life-affirming even in the face of a few deep personal tragedies...(plus I can change light-bulbs, solve the Friday Times puzzle, memorize voluminous bits of useless trivia, and, most importantly, find all the missing socks). I’m a pretty good cook (better if I have someone to cook for). My one son is 23 and lives in New England, where he is both an entrepreneur and student.
The life of the mind is important to me, so I hope you’ve got strong opinions we can banter about. Talk to me about big ideas or about "nothing." Find me at the opera or the ballpark. Race me in the pool or share an exotic meal. I enjoy the journeys of life as much as the outcomes and hope to find someone to stroll, race, and dawdle with, mostly just walking alongside.
