About her
I'm a 64 year old semi retired nurse with a friendly and caring personality and good sense of humour. My partner of 40 years passed away suddenly 18 months ago so I am now of the philosophy of Carpe Diem with a little bit of being canny as you don't know what the future will throw at you. I love music of many genres in particular classical and enjoy going to concerts, shows and operas. I'm just beginning to take an interest in Art history and love all things Art Deco. I like to do cryptic crosswords and have also just started to make my own jewellery, trying to recycle some of the large collection of costume jewellery I have accumulated over the years. I have been to Italy a few times and would love to go back sometime. I have also been learning Italian for the past few years as a hobby. I have never been the outdoorsy type but like country drives for pub lunches or cosy nights in with a nice bottle of wine. Sorry but cooking and I just aren't compatible and I've had my fair share of disasters! I have a 27 year old daughter who is my best friend and keeps me young at heart and I believe that age is just a number. I have a positive 'glass is half full' attitude and take each day as it comes.

I would like to meet someone who shares my love of music and would like to accompany me to concerts shows and operas They would have a good sense of humour and be content with the day to day things of life. I don't want a go -getter who is looking for a life full of adventure though I'm not averse to the odd trip abroad to sample the culture art and food.
