About her
So - I'm 64 and live in a small village in Oxfordshire. I was widowed 12 or so years ago and so brought up my two daughters mostly on my own, with both of whom I am very close. My eldest now lives some 10 miles away with her three lovely sons, and my youngest is away at university.
I love the outdoors and like to go hiking in the nearby Chiltern hills when I can. I'm originally from the North and love wild, open countryside
I love music and play both the piano and the harp. I have two harps, one a pedal and one a rare Welsh triple, thus my username! This has three rows of strings and can be quite a challenge to play, but as I do this mainly for my own amusement, it doesn't really matter. I have just recently taken up the lute as well, no concerts planned any time soon though!
Life wouldn't be complete without books either, and I think I now qualify for actually having my own library. Apparently you need to own more than 1000 books - yes - tick.
My latest interest is in Morris dancing - a wonderful old English tradition. I joined a local side about 2 years ago and it's great fun and good exercise. What could be more enjoyable than dancing about with sticks and hankies, outside an lovely old country pub in the summertime.
I am quite shy at times, particularly if I don't know someone very well, but I am friendly and have a good sense of humour. I am kind, loyal, and trustworthy, and am a caring person.
I am a bit of a daydreamer and usually see a glass half full. I am quite self-sufficient and emotionally strong, as I've had to be really.
