About her
Relaxed, fun-loving, confident, kind and open-minded. Enjoy meeting people, good conversation and getting to know people well. Try to make the most of every day by meeting friends, going to museums, art galleries, theatre and concerts etc. Have just returned from a Mahler concert in Hamburg. Am equally content, however, sat on the sofa reading a good book or watching a film. Eating healthily and keeping fit by walking, cycling, dancing, playing table tennis and doing yoga are an integral part of my life in my desire to keep in shape and make life last as long as possible! Also, love being in nature and enjoy travelling and learning about other cultures, feeling that I have a lot to learn from how other people live. Have been fortunate enough to visit many places in the world, with one of the highlights being a trip to Japan for the Rugby World Cup in 2019. I am currently planning a trip to Bhutan, a country which fascinates me.
Retired from a career in Education Management six years ago, and whilst my career gave me a great deal of satisfaction and enjoyment, life has been equally fulfilling and interesting since. Having the time to learn new things, including playing the saxophone, Mahjong and Spanish has given me a lot of pleasure. Another of my pleasures is spending time with my two beautiful daughters and my adorable grandson.
A few other things I love, in no particular order, are mountains, daffodils, London, stars, birdsong, The Lark Ascending, smiles, marmite, the film Perfect Days, curiosity, being Welsh, rugby, Rokia Traore, trees, vanilla, Kandinsky, stillness, avocado, magnolia, coastal walking, tennis, passion (about anything or anyone).
Life is, indeed, very good, both rich and varied, but it would be lovely to meet someone with similar interests, and/or a strong connection, to share the many good things that life has to offer.

My ideal partner is someone with whom I make a deep and meaningful connection, someone who makes me feel even more excited about life, a person who is open to new ideas and new experiences and who is looking to love and live wholeheartedly. He would be interesting, maybe a little quirky, intelligent and positive, whilst also looking to have some fun and be spontaneous. Kindness, compassion, honesty and a sense of fairness and justice are also important qualities to me. It is fair to say though that I am pretty open minded about what ‘ideal’ might look like in reality.
