About her
Relaxed, fun-loving, confident, kind and open-minded are words that come to mind. I have a positive attitude to life and try to make the most of every day by enjoying the simple things in life like meeting a friend for coffee or taking advantage of all that London has to offer, by going to museums, art galleries, theatres and concerts etc. I am equally content, however, sat on the sofa reading a good book or watching a film. Eating healthily and keeping fit by walking, cycling, dancing, and doing yoga are an integral part of my life too. I love being in nature and enjoy travelling, learning about other cultures and meeting new people. I feel that I have been fortunate to visit many places in the world, with one of the highlights being a trip to Japan for the rugby World Cup in 2019.
I retired from a career in Education Management and whilst my career gave me a great deal of satisfaction and enjoyment, life has been equally fulfilling since. Having the time to learn new things, including playing the saxophone and Spanish has given me a lot of pleasure. Another of my pleasures is spending time with my two beautiful daughters and my adorable grandson.
A few other things I love, in no particular order, are mountains, daffodils, London, stars, birdsong, The Lark Ascending, smiles, marmite, the film Perfect Days, curiosity, being Welsh, rugby, Rokia Traore, trees, vanilla, stillness, avocado, magnolia, coastal walking, tennis, passion (about anything or anyone).
Life is, indeed, very good, both rich and varied, but it would be lovely to meet someone with similar interests, and/or a strong connection, to share the many good things that life has to offer and explore each other. I am pretty open minded about my ideal partner, feeling that the idea of an ideal match is something of a misnomer and maybe there is no such thing as ideal. Obviously connection is key but connections can be random and unexpected. Things that aré important to me are intelligence and positivity. Kindness, compassion, honesty and a sense of fairness and justice are also valuable. Experience tells me, however, that relationships come in all shapes and sizes so….
