I'm worth getting to know....
I've spend a good few few years, patiently, getting my life, my head and my rather chaotic world in order.
Not just for me but for my one, (almost adult) child..and i must admit I'm pretty happy with the results so far.😏
I have been in nursing for 40 years now. (Semi retired). I feel I've done my stint in the work place..and then some..! (thank you very much NHS) and l now truely believe its time to consentrate on doing somethings for myself.
I used to think that was considered selfishness, but i have been reliably informed it's actually self love/care/compassion.😳
It's taken a lot of pain, shit, sweat and tears to get where i am now...and I'm not there yet. But, as a result of my efforts, i now have a new set of boundaries and a few non-negotiable needs (which i think is healthy) which are serving me well.
I think it's time to allow myself off the hook, realise my potential and value and aim to have more of a life/lifestyle i would like to have had already and probably deserve.
My friends describe me as off the wall, quirky, funny, special and brutally honest 😳 and worth having around.
I love my home, my kid❤ and my garden and animals.
It is true that noone is going to come and save us, that is something we have to do ourselves. 😎
I'm happy with my own company and I can be alone without feeling lonely. I'm not "on the sniff " so to speak.. but my life is changing and theres none of us getting any younger, so i am just exploring the ( i suspect remote) possibility that perhaps there may be someone out there whose not a complete ass..🤔🧐😳
Plus, my daughter is worried I'm going to lose the will to live, shrivel up, die alone and end up being eaten by the dog and the cat as soon as she goes off to university in september..😳🙄🤔 (heh heh heh... little does she know..! 😏)
