About her
It’s never easy writing about oneself. Having spent time on my own after my husband died a few years ago, I feel I am now ready to spend time with someone else and look to the future.
I think I am easy-going and fairly low maintenance - I enjoy a cosy night in and having coffee with friends - but I also love dressing up and going out, for a meal, to the theatre or to a concert.
I enjoy walking with my two dogs, and I also have a beautiful cat. My human family includes my son and daughter-in-law, my stepson and his family, and my sister, all of whom are very dear to me.
I love classical music and my main interest is singing, but I appreciate that you will have your own taste in music. I don’t believe you need to have the same interests to get along; sometimes it’s good to learn something new. I am retired, which means I am busy juggling some part-time work, volunteering & charity work, and hobbies at home, so life is never dull!
Personality-wise, I am empathetic, caring and compassionate, generous and (mostly) easy-going. On the more negative side, I'm a terrible procrastinator and I do have the occasional dark day, but I'm mostly a glass-more-than-half-full sort of person.

Kindness, thoughtfulness and caring are all good qualities to have. I hope you will love animals as mine are really important to me, and it would be nice if you enjoy classical music. A quirky sense of humour is good. But no smoking - it’s an absolute dealbreaker for me.
