I would describe myself as quiet, contemplative and compassionate. I have a gritty streak though!
I'm hooked on Earl Grey tea, Cotes du Rhone and Shepherd's Pie.
I've fallen out of love with flying for many reasons so try to avoid it if possible. I loathe cigarette smoke and can't face goat's cheese, which is a real pain as so many great starters include it.
My interests centre around books and films, visiting galleries and gardens. I love a good political, environmental or economic debate but find it increasingly hard to believe in any deliverable outcomes.
For fun nowadays I go for drinks, films or other outings with one or more of my many friends. Ive started to try and book tickets for a bucketload of bands that I managed to miss first time round.
To relax I do pilates, go for walks in the city, to a gallery or read.

About her ideal match
I'd like someone tall and slim, more bookish than biceps, witty would be good. Oh, and with hair if possible.
Its likely you would have to be quite patient and flexible: Ive come out of a long marriage and I (still) don't know what I'm looking for.
It would be great to find someone kind and happy as I can sometimes be anxious and volatile.
I love going on country or city walks - nowadays shorter and not too steep! Preferably with a good pub or a cafe at the other end. Sofa, warm fire, good book or the weekend newspapers. Bruce Springsteen, Rufus Wainwright, Colchester Symphony Orchestra are all on my radar at the moment.
Smoking is a definite no-no. I'm firmly left of centre so I'd struggle if you're a dedicated Brexiteer or Daily Mail reader. Im in an environmental/design profession so your big SUV/motorbike/motorboat won't impress me much, nor your desire to fly round the world. I'll go almost anywhere on a train though, replacement buses notwithstanding.
