About her
Ha, this is my first foray into online dating! Always nice to meet new people though and perhaps this is a good way to do it. About me, briefly: I'm 39; I live in Devon but I work away (offshore); as a result I'm pretty well-travelled; I'm fairly fit and healthy; I love swimming, kayaking and especially walking; I enjoy cooking, reading, writing, art and music and always intend to make more time for all of them. I am interested in archaeology and history, I listen to a variety of different musical genres and wouldn't mind seeing some decent live music or going to some concerts. I'd say I'm more of a country girl than a city girl but relish a bit of a culture fix every now and again. I do have some family commitments but to my elderly parents, no kids (nothing against kids - just didn't happen for me). Personality-wise I'm not madly extrovert but I reckon I hold my own. I consider myself to be friendly and adaptable and I like to think I'm quite good company. I like laughing and I like making other people laugh, and I do like a drink or two (but I'm also *trying* to be a bit healthier on that score). I always swore I'd never use an online dating app as I think it's so much better meeting someone in person - but maybe that's a stupid stance to take - it would be nice to be proved wrong!

It would be nice to chat to someone with similar tastes and interests to me. I'm sure they exist! Someone who likes to be outside, likes the odd beer, has their own interests in interesting things and is easy-going. Maybe a little bit old fashioned in the nicest possible sense of that phrase.
