I suppose I would describe myself as a rather understated individual, though eternally fascinated with the world around me, and passionate about many aspects of it ie injustice, inequality, and the state of the planet. My friends consider me to be kind but not a push-over. I find joy in the arts, music and being outdoors. Just being still is good too. I work a few hours a week, enjoy reading fiction and discussing issues of a philosophical nature with friends. I'm a 'can do, cup half full' person but with a realistic streak. If this all sounds a bit dry I must tell you I can be light hearted and fun, and even witty at times!

I'm not necessarily looking for an 'ideal match' but someone kind, intelligent and collaborative. Someone genuine who I can feel safe/comfortable enough to be myself with. To begin it would be lovely just to meet for lunch, go to a concert, an exhibition or out walking. We all join dating sites, I believe, because essentially we want to love and be loved and I'm no exception. Having said that, we don't really choose who we're attracted to so just something like friendly companionship would be good to start. Then who knows!
