About him
I have a lifelong interest in railways, steam for preference. Whilst at school I played the clarinet in the school and county orchestras even rising to perform solo on occasions. In my twenties I enjoyed organising kart race meetings. I also did a bit of racing, but I was only a midfielder.
I like driving and dining out, but I have mobility issues which requires me to use a mobility scooter for the equivalent of going for a walk. My impaired mobility has interfered with the theatre and west end show visits which I also used to enjoy but I am becoming more used to work rounds for this.
I try to have tried to regain a positive outlook on life since my wife died in the Covid pandemic. I engage with the local seated yoga therapy group, and I have also made solo trips with my scooter by rail and car. I need a companion with who will accompany me and encourage me making allowances for my currently minor mobility issues.
