Retired but still fit(ish) and active having recently completed my second Long Distance Walk. Willing to try other sports but I would be a liability at the top of a mountain. I’ve managed two munros but not desperate to try another.
Enjoy gardening but not so keen on housework - it’s so overrated.
Learning to play golf - who knew it was so difficult!
I’ve recently begun my whisky journey and aim to visit a few distilleries this year.
Enjoy travel having visited USA, Canada, Russia, Indonesia, Australia, Japan, China and the usual European destinations but I’m in love with Scotland so happy to staycation.
Mother to three and grandmother to two however I’m not a full-time babysitter so please don’t expect me to spend my weekends with your grandchildren.
I’m quite modest in my appearance; minimal makeup and no plunging necklines but I can go a bit rogue with my style choices - you have been warned.
In the winter nights I research my family’s history and I’m currently writing a book which I hope to put into print. I’m also a bit of a crafter and always keen to learn new skills the current one being upholstery. Wood turning is high on the list. Not much of a TV fan preferring YouTube tutorials and podcasts.
More of a country person than a city lover but I do love to visit cities occasionally.
Unlike sooo many of you men, my friends do not tell me I look younger than my age. Old age is a luxury not afforded to everyone so I embrace it. My three closest people in the world all died in their early sixties so, also unlike so many of you men, I take life very seriously - why would you not!
Time to reclaim my life but happy to wait for the right person.

My ideal match will be above 5ft 7in and reasonably fit & healthy. Sorry but he must also have good mental health with an optimistic view on life. Attentive but not needy and definitely not jealous as I have male friends. Happy to have time on his own with his own friends and family. Good sense of humour and not afraid to speak his mind but with an appreciation of differing opinions.
