Retiring very soon and want someone to enjoy stuff with. I’m a great cook, I spend a lot of time in France, Spain and Guernsey and have a lot of great friends but not that someone special.
I was a professional classical musician way back when and have travelled a lot both for work and for fun. My friends from London now live mostly abroad and I’ve just completed 35 years in the Higher Education sector here in London. I love Film and many kinds of music and plan to get a bit more active after my imminent retirement when I also plan to do less work and more things that make me happy.
I’m quite savvy and enjoy people who can make me laugh. I find that quite attractive.
I’m a member of a hot air ballooning team, love crafting and listen to music a great deal. I hate horror films! But love great TV and have been a BAFTA judge for 25 years.

My ideal man is funny, intelligent, as happy to stay in as go out, someone who loves to relax and chill on holiday as well as explore and go to new places.
I’m not looking for a fitness fanatic but do plan to get a bit more active and it would be fun to do that with someone who feels the same. I’m hopeless at fixing things, so if you happen to be a practical kind of person that would be a Brucey bonus!
I’m pretty sure I want a relationship with someone who is happy with their life as it is and has their own place and is not looking to move in any time soon. I really don’t want to be one of many, just a great friend and companion to begin with to see how it goes. I’m very out of practice with this dating malarkey but hoping to meet new people and expand my horizons.
