About him
I am a very sociable retired RAF officer who enjoys cooking quality food accompanied with fine wine. I enjoy entertaining but being a one man band is not fun and missing the essential feminine touch. I was raised in a family home that believed in values of behaviour and good manners. It should therefore come as no surprise that with a 47 year long military career, I continue to hold those values dear and I am a complete gentleman. If opening the door for a Lady, offering her a seat or standing when she walks into a room is considered to be old fashioned, then I confess to being compliant and will continue to be so. Voluntary work takes up a good portion of my time along with a large garden that fights back! I am fond of dogs having worked with a re-homing and rescue charity for 17 years although I no longer have dogs of my own. I enjoy walking the Lincolnshire countryside and reading a variety of books. Having been a widower for three years I look back with fond memories but now concentrate upon the future. I live by the codes of truth, loyalty and integrity, always have done and always will do. I am a one woman man, why wreck a relationship and another person's life through unfaithfulness? Never trust a man who can walk past a tea cosy without putting it on his head!
