I'm a friendly sort of person who is interested in most things including music such as opera, pop, some jazz, folk, 1920's/30's music etc - basically anything tuneful or unusual.
I’m kind and caring, independent and friends say I’m good company (and even entertaining on the odd occasion)! I like a good chat and can see the funny side of life at times.
I volunteer twice a week because I want to feel fulfilled as well as hopefully helping others. So you could say I’m doing it for selfish reasons.
I love radio, TV and that means some soaps too, but you can't have everything! I’ve recently gone back to reading books.
I'm curious about crafts and how things are made, current affairs and the state of the planet, but not in a ‘nerdy’ kind of way. I appreciate nature, the outdoors and the little things that are worth a second look.
I like learning French and I don't mind telling you that I'm finding it both addictive and exasperating at the same time! Other hobbies include doing gardening and my daily Pilates exercises, though I couldn’t really say I’m keen on sport, but if that’s your interest, that’s fine. I did watch world cup football with my son for example and enjoyed that.
Most importantly I like socialising with my friends and seeing my family. I’d much rather share life’s ups and down with a partner than be on my own and I expect that would be the same for you.
