Currently 65, look 50s (so I'm told), the attitude of a 21-yr old and can act like I'm 11 at times. A Yorkshire man loving being in Herefordshire.
I have a few great friends who I'd do anything for, many think I'm bright, breezy and smile a lot. Retired a year ago, tall, slim, active and recently widowed. Dating after nearly 25 years and collecting my State Pension next Spring…well, it’s all new stuff!
Likes: Countryside, seaside, Cumbria, Scotland, Europe, working with my hands. I like working things out (the engineer in me), love DIY and painting/decorating (yes, weird but true). Generally good up ladders, renovated a few houses and barns. Love Michelin and gastro food, outings, driving and Classic FM. I like to (dad) dance, but shy to do so in public. I’m a lover, not a fighter.
I love being next to water/sea, sailing, swimming and I want to go sea fishing again. I love cold (skiing) and warm (beach) holidays. I don’t do hot-hot holidays well….sweaty lobster kinda thing. Love old towns/buildings - a great appreciation for how things were done 'back in the day'. France, French food and the rustic splendour of the country appeal greatly. Never been exploring Tuscany, but that appeals greatly also.
I love historical dramas - period stuff and historical documentaries (Victorian engineering especially) as well as the action-packed block-busters. Love dogs - my dog is a little too eagre to get to grips with a cat!
I come alive in the presence of a lovely lady (personality more important than looks), love to flirt, am tactile, passionate and loving with the right person. I'm a sucker for classic cars, opera, the races and classic lingerie (not necessarily in that order!).
Dislikes: loud pompous men, demonstrations of bad manners, psych stuff (I'm poor at judging people's reactions - I may be on some spectrum or other). Don't like anger, out-of-control drunkenness, clothes shopping. I tend to stay clear of stuff I don't like...and maybe miss out on new experiences.
