About him
I'm openly friendly and can make friends quickly. I share the same sense of humour and honesty with my son: humour is satirical and sarcastic, honesty is 100%. As a dog owner, walking pooch is a daily thing for me; at weekends I can clock up 20-30k steps taking in the Pentland Hills, both in walks and trail runs. I'm keen to expand my exercise horizons into non-impact sports/exercise.
I work in IT, which is hard to switch off from completely...everybody wants me to fix their printer! I prefer to fix something than replace it, I'm not too bad at DIY. I cook every day, my go to dish is soup. I'm told I make a pretty mean burger!
If you listen to BBC Radio 4, we're likely to agree with each other and get on with most things. I'm fond of Radio 4's The News Quiz and other comedy broadcasts. I do watch TV, the news, films, series-based dramas and comedy; no soaps.
About his ideal match
I need to spend more time reading (both novels and newspapers) and would welcome somebody who could encourage that. I like to travel, locally and abroad; ideally, you are willing to fly, at least short haul (3-4 hours from the UK).
Experience has confirmed that communication is very important. Being able to let each other know what we would like from our relationship is key. Some compromise might be required. Nobody is perfect, it's important to put a bit of give and take on the table.
As a dog owner, walking is a moderately important activity. I would welcome somebody who is keen to share their exercise activities and is open to new activities.
