Joyful free spirit, quirky, wise and warm. Independent, creative, clever and kind. True Bohemian who fits in everywhere (and nowhere). Unconventional and unusual, my son describes me as having more life force than anyone he has ever met (but he's 24, so frankly, what does he know). Huge joie de vivre, sophisticated and cosmopolitan, yet down-to-earth. A born and bred big-hearted Londoner, and straight talker who suffers no fools, gladly or otherwise, with a big personality. Not for everyone, but lucky enough to be loved by many wonderful people who have been in my life for decades.
I have had, and to some extent still have, a very successful career. That can be overwhelming for some (exciting for others). It doesn’t define me by any stretch but does require partners to be very sure of, and secure in, themselves.
Dipping a toe slowly back in dating waters after a long marriage - a slow burn is perhaps better for me. And, am currently based mostly in North Africa, which slightly enforces pacing a relationship of any kind. I have learned to wear life like a loose garment, which means I have enormous flexibility. I love living here but will have a base elsewhere - probably London in the new year - but open to all that life has to offer.
I am a true ambivert - love people and socializing, then need huge amounts of quiet time to recover. I like cities, but ultimately am happiest surrounded by nature, privacy and peace. A passionate and avid gardener, for years I grew my own vegetables, kept chickens and bees - plan on having it again in the future.
Adore the late 60s/early 70s. Give me the glamour, style and cool of Anita Pallenberg, Sophia Loren, Bianca Jagger and Maria Callas. I sometimes worry that Keith Richards is my style icon...
I remain unconvinced by dating apps/websites, but the triumph of hope over experience, and a natural curiosity, sees me coming back...

Honestly, I am very happy on my own, still healing from a good, but ultimately stultifying, marriage, and joyfully enjoying my freedom.
And, there is always the hope that there might be someone truly lovely and a little bit unconventional on here. I like (rather than need) emotional intimacy with one special person.
I tend to get on best with people who are successful, down-to-earth, fun, confident, and secure in who they are.
A love of music is a good thing, as is a love of food (I am a slightly-trained chef who is happiest in her kitchen, cooking up a storm for the people I love). Comfort in your skin, curiosity, and caring about people's humanity rather than status.
My life is filled with books, art, beauty, music, people, gardens, adventures (not so much the outdoorsy kind), and figuring out the meaning of life with spirited discussions (it is not 42). Someone who appreciates the same would be perfect. And, with a similar sense of fun and love of life.
Clever, funny, and decidedly not run-of-the-mill if at all possible.
The bad news: I'm afraid I have a severe and life-threatening allergy to golf.
The other bad news: I have cats. Only three, but they're going nowhere...
