Sitting on the bench in my garden, we sense the insistent sun on our skin, hear the blackbird singing, appreciate the clear blue sky, notice the lack of wind. Calm, we gently open up our conversation. Feeling safe. We tread a little deeper. I smile as you intelligently provoke a welcome idea in me. You enjoy telling me about what you are celebrating and what you still find challenging. We laugh together. We talk travel: memoirs and fantasies. Then enjoy a silence together. I am fascinated and curious about Biodanza, Action for Happiness, Authentic Relating, NonViolent Communication and MRI. I like walking, cycling, looking, going to classical concerts, watching opera, communing with my cat, mystery and discovery. My friends have said: I am open and approachable, sensitive, warm intelligent and loving.
My personality? I smile a lot, maybe because I am appreciating so much around me, and maybe because I am constantly entertained by everything (including myself). Nonetheless I have a strong thoughtful analytical creative and inventive side as well; I am constantly looking for ways to be happier. Curious and enquiring, I am delightfully solvent, honest, vegetarian (mostly) and usually emotionally intelligent and kind, often poetic, playful and meditative. My occupation has been a successful academic researcher (now just gently moving along).
My outlook on life? We only get one, so it’s to be enjoyed and also thought about. Happiness science is important to me. And to love and be loved.
