About him
I would describe myself first and foremost as a kind, thoughtful and considerate person who always puts others before myself. I'm positive (contrary to my somewhat dry sense of humour), friendly and have been told that I smile a lot (probably because I do). I'm very affectionate and tactile, laid-back and love making people laugh and smile. I'm fascinated by people and what makes them tick, I love a proper 'deep' conversation but also enjoy just chatting, finding out about others and love a bit of silliness and nonsense too!
Life has been full of experiences, both good and bad, that have rounded off any sharp edges that I may have once had and though I'm not as good looking as I once was, I know that I'm a far better person now than I ever have been. I feel that I've reached the stage of life where I'm comfortable with who I am, secure in my values and beliefs and am incredibly grateful and content with what I have.
I'm not interested in material objects and status symbols; I love the simple things in life such as a nice walk in the beautiful countryside near my home or just curling up on the sofa with a cup of tea, a good book and my charming dog, despite his foul breath and somewhat unsavory grooming habits.
I'm incredibly grateful for my health and being active is incredibly important to me. I'm lucky enough to be a member of a nice leisure club and I spend as much time there as I can, either in the gym, playing tennis or swimming.
I'm the main carer for one teenager and one tweenager but do get time to myself now - I have a relatively new-found love of classical music so thought I'd give this site a go and see what the gentler side of online dating is all about!
