I am open and friendly and I like to make people smile and laugh. I try to 'Always look on the Bright Side of Life.'
I've had an interesting life, leading from a technical background and have done many different things.
I love the countryside, local spaces or the big wide ones, and walking my dog through them. My days of heavy mountain work or a lugging a pack to last several days in the wilds are behind me. Now it is rolling hills, woodland and beaches, preferably with a decent place for an enjoyable tea or coffee and homemade cake or a meal at the end.
Otherwise I am making something from wood in my woodturning workshop or cooking up something great in the kitchen, which is not always easy for one.
I enjoy reading, music (many types), sometimes just being quiet and I am happy in my own company, but equally I enjoy playing games around a table with friends and spoiling my granddaughters.
I'm not Tee-Total but drink alcohol very rarely and never to excess.

I've no idea what you will be like, we will either click, or we won't. You would need to have a creative side to compliment my woodturning. I've seen it can be a great canvas for the right person.
Be a dog person, I don't mind cats but they are not great walking companions, so being prepared to join me on an occasional dog walk would be wonderful.
