About her
I am trying hard to be as green as possible, but tolerant of friends and family who completely bury their heads in the sand. I have firm values and opinions, but I am not evangelistic. I just have a moral code and need to do what I think is right, but it's really only based on the Ten Commandments, updated for this day and age - and they have successfully formed the rules which society has followed for millennia now.
If my philosophical side hasn't put you off; I'm curious, impulsive, creative and easily bored by routine. I want to learn so many new things. I can start a task totally focussed and then run out of steam, and move on to another idea. I do go back when I'm in the right mood again, and I know when I've finished that I've done it to the very best of my ability (otherwise there would be no point in doing it would there?). I love painting.
Born and raised in the countryside on a sheep farm, driving a Land Rover and a Ford 4000 as soon as I could reach the pedals, but I doubt I'd know how to start a modern tractor.
Although I was very sporty in my youth, I've worn out my knee and hip joints playing, but love day-long walks on the hills or coast. I'm quite fit and active compared to some. I don't enjoy watching sport much - it was the physical/competitive element of actually taking part which thrilled me.
I have a very good general knowledge. I don't quiz, but I would if I had someone to go along with. I am perfectly accepting of the ageing process; I'd just like to spend my time with somebody who is going through it too at a similar level of fitness.
..and sorry chaps, but I'm afraid I am more comfortable in wellies than heels.

You'd have to be an absolute superhero to put up with me; you'd have to be openminded, not a creature of habit; or of course - best of all - happy to keep up your own interests.
You must be a country person. Town people don't notice the changing seasons, can't forecast impending weather from the sky, can't discern a boggy area in a field, they put coats on their dogs and park in field gateways.
I'd like to meet someone who paints or is artistic. I miss sitting alongside someone, both doing something creative in spare time.
You could be sporty or a supporter, but would have to participate without me, due to my achy joints. I'd approve wholeheartedly.
I strongly disapprove of caging/confining animals for our pleasure, so if you have pet birds, fish, rodents/rabbits or reptiles, do not get it touch.
