I'm curious about everything and especially keen on art, books, architecture, history, music, and trips to galleries, museums, theatre, cinema, concerts, opera etc. I love walking, be it long-distance hikes or daily dog walks, swimming, tennis, table-tennis and dancing, and the joy of finding wonderful places that are often overlooked, eg an obscure museum of typefaces, or spurtles or euphoniums... I write, play poor bridge and am (mostly) enjoying organising the renovation of my old farmhouse and garden.
A sociable, adventurous, warm, active, quick-witted former book publisher and freelance journalist, and mother of three who is happy to be reading by the fire or watching a film as much as exploring, entertaining and being entertained by family and friends.
