About her
Music is my big thing: I am a classically trained soprano and pianist. Favourite composers include Debussy, Faure and Chopin. I'm also developing my jazz voice with the help of a fabulous coach, exploring jazz standards. This is a new and exciting journey for me. I have an eclectic taste and open to new genres, so do tell me what you're into?
I also have a nagging desire to be the next John Galsworthy, plotting out a family saga. I love reading fiction (my BA was in English Literature). Some favourite reads are: "Embers" by Sandor Marai, "Babette's Feast" by Karen Blixen, "The Essence of the Thing" by Madeleine St John and "Home" by Marilynne Robinson. I also enjoy poetry. I would be impressed if you recognised this quote, "Love's Mysteries in soules doe grow, But yet the body is his booke"?
I really enjoy visiting art galleries, Cathedrals and historic buildings. An upcoming exhibition at the National art gallery that I will be going along to is "Siena: The Rise of Painting: 1300-1350". Other galleries that I like are the Courtauld, Tate Modern and galleries outside London such as Pallant House.
For my workl, my background is as a solicitor and I currently work as an Employment Relations Trainer in a law firm. I am part of a team who design and deliver bespoke training courses to organisations covering many HR/employment related matters.
A typical great day for me could include: yogalates, followed by croissants and coffee. A trip out-maybe a walk along the coast. A late relaxed lunch, and in the afternoon perhaps a cultural visit. A late-ish dinner with friends either at home or out somewhere, plenty of conversation and laughs ranging from everyday activities such as where you've been on holiday to current affairs or more philosophical discussions.
