About him
I'm on this site because I'm a classical music lover with eclectic taste (prefer Wagner to Bruckner, Vikingur to Pollini, and Bach to pretty much anyone). A big devourer of culture who will travel to see a great exhibition (ie Vermeer in Amsterdam, Rothko in Paris) and avid reader, of course, as a former journalist and published author (mainly non-fiction but also a play). I have a sporty side, with a passion for hiking, biking, and skiing. I was born in the UK but have lived around the world - my CV reads like the window of a luxury store. I finally settled in the south of France because somebody has to live here. It's my happy place, but I miss the company of a special person.

Obviously you are charming, smart, funny, and cultured--and I realize that's a lot to ask for. Most of all, you are open to the world. You love travelling. Perhaps you speak languages other than English (or perhaps you don't, that's OK, too). If you share my love of the outdoors, all the better.
