Basically I'm a cheerful person who can see the funny side of most things. But I can be serious when I need to be. And I can be loving and caring when that is called for.
Most people say I look a lot younger than my age and I'm in pretty decent health.
I like all kinds of things except sport. Would rather watch paint dry.
But I love board games. And classical music. And all sorts of off-beat stuff.
I love to do cooking and people come back for more after I've fed them.
I play Bridge regularly and am reasonably good.
I've always regretted that I never had the chance to be a father myself.
Trying to be 100% honest - alas I have eye conditions which have banned me from driving but I can still get around and do everything else. Means that I keep fit through cycling.

My ideal match is someone who can put up with my eccentricities without getting too exasperated.
I would expect a lot of laughter and fun. I would also hope to share affection and caring.

I've known John for several years now and I've found him to be a calm, thoughtful and considerate man with a quirky and clever sense of humour.
I'm actually the son-in-law of John's last girlfriend but we've kept in touch because we got on well.
John's not shy of trying new things and I was looking forward to accompanying him on a biking holiday in Spain last year. However, he got an infection the year we were going to go and it never happened. Not so lucky, he even fell off his bike the year before and had to cut his holiday short then too!
He's great with my children, sharing his enjoyment of games and puzzles with the littlies, and talking logic and problems with my older ones.
He's also a great cook. What's not to love about that?
