About her
I'm a kind, relaxed person who loves her home and garden, however modest. The most important thing you should know is that I have a15 year old foster daughter. She is a weekly boarder at school, but home for many weekends and all the holidays. She has been with me for 8 years so we're close, but she increasingly needs her independence and I have the opportunity to go out and make new friends. I live in a small village and love the countryside. I'm a Christian and attend a liberal Anglican Church in Oxford. Having been a teacher and also having run a small charity, I'm retired now. I've always loved choral singing, although at the moment I'm not in a choir. Being busy with my foster child, I haven't been out much for a while, but last summer I walked the last 70 miles of the Camino de Santiago, and if I had a companion there is a lot more I would happily go out for - concerts, museums and films for instance.

I would love to meet someone who shares my interests, particularly the countryside, gardening, walking and music, in a companionable way. It's important that they're kind and honest. They will need to be understanding of my commitment to my foster daughter and of my Christian faith. It would just be nice to have someone to go out with occasionally to concerts, films, galleries, gardens or just for walks, and to become closer if we get on well.
